The organising committee for the World Cup Kabaddi was set-up in October 2018, to ensure that a professional deliverance of the tournament is achieved.


Organising Chairman

S.T. Arasu

World Kabaddi Secretary General S.T. Arasu heads the organising committee for the World Cup. He is also the Deputy President of the Malaysia Kabaddi Federation and the President of the Kabaddi Association of Kuala Lumpur. Arasu is an event manager by profession and holds a Masters Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from University of Toulouse, France. He is a former sports journalist and is a two-time Malaysian Sportswriter of the Year. He can be contacted at


Deputy Chairman

Raaj Nava

Raaj Nava is the Managing Director and founder for New Asia Holidays and Tours.  He started his career as a tour guide in 1986 and became interested in tourism industry.

A travel outfit was set up in 1991 which based at the Southern most gateway of Malaysia specializing in tailor made & event based programs such as Strix TV Survival series that was telecast in the Scandinavian countries.

Raaj Nava has been featured as the promoter of  Eco Tourism in many travel write ups in  ITB Europe and Corporate & Incentive shows in Asia respectively.





Mogan Kumar Raju

 Mogan Kumar Raju (BA Hons.) is the secretary of the Malaysia Kabaddi Federation, Deputy President of the Kabaddi Association of Kuala Lumpur as well as the Secretary of Kabaddi Asia.

Started his career as a high school teacher before switching to publishing industry.  He has more than 25 years of experience in the publishing industry. He is also a professional graphic designer with Makisa Resources. The former Perak state sprinter is also involved in sports event management.

Sivanesan Rengasami Naidu

Sivanesan is an experienced IT graduate attached with a local bank in the Information System Dept.  He is currently attached with the Disaster Recovery Unit.

Has been a member of the management committee for Malaysia Kabaddi Federation & Kuala Lumpur Kabaddi Association since its inception.

Has been involved in Kabaddi since childhood as a player and now as an administrator.

He is also qualified Technical Official.


Thiagarajan Raju

Thiagarajan hails from Johor and is involved in real estate.

Has been involved in kabaddi recently and was a member of the organising committee for the International Kabaddi Challenge.

He is also active in politics and is a committee member of the PKR Tebrau Parliamentary constituency.



G Rajarathnam

G.Rajarathnam hails from Melaka is an experienced manager. Previously attached with Infineon Technologies, he is currently the branch manager at Samudraa Sparkle.

The World Cup organising committee would be his first foray into the sport.



P. Sritharan

Has been involved in public service since 18 years of age. Have served almost 48 years in various field such as religious, sports, social, trade union, politics etc.


Been to many countries representing Malaysia especially in trade union and sports. Has held key positions in social and welfare and educational including Tamil Tamil Library in KL



R. Balamurugan

Balamurugan is a former national kabaddi player and was the captain of the national kabaddi team to the Busan Asian Games. He was also the captain of the national team that finished runners-up to Iran at the 2003 Asian Championships.

He also plays football. He is now the national kabaddi coach and is interested to build young athletes for kabaddi .
